  1. Amigurumi Winter Bear – AmigurumiWizard crochet pattern

    November 12, 2012 by Peter

As with my previous pattern I posted here on my blog, it’s a bit early for winter themed Amigurumi, although it’s time to start crocheting those wintery critters if you want to gift them to family and friends when winter arrives. :)

This Winter Bear is so cute with his big head and small hat. :)
You can find this picture in this months “Let’s Get Crafting” magazine in the UK, in the top 3 Amigurumi toys they love. :)
It’s possible you came here because you saw it in the magazine, and now you question where you can buy the pattern…

    Have fun!

  2. November: National Novel Writing Month

    November 5, 2012 by Peter

    Or, NaNoWriMo for short.

NaNoWriMo started off in 1999, with only a few participants. It’s a internet challenge to write a novel within a month. You didn’t thought that when you read the name, did you? ;)
Through the years the project grows and grows. More and more people are trying to achieve writing a 50.000 words novel. It sounds not that hard, but you’ve got to write 1667 words a day. Count out the ‘damage’ when you skip one day…

Well, I know of NaNoWriMo for several years now, but I only tried to participate once. After two days I abandoned the project with the lack of time.
This year, I’ve got some more time on hand so I accepted the challenge again.

With a bit of a hard start, it’s going okay now. Not good, but I guess nobody participating NaNoWriMo says it’s going just fine.

I didn’t blog about this yet, because I was going to do so as soon we planned the things we want to do on our trip, but we (my boyfriend and me) are going to London for 5 days later this month. That’s 8335 words I’ve got to catch up when I’m back, so already spreading them to the days I’m still at home and able to write. So, my word count every day should be 2000 words

Wish me luck. Going to write my words for today. And yesterday, because I didn’t have the them then. And some of the day before, because I was tired. So, day goal: 4587 words, here I come.
I think I need some coffee.

EDIT: I now have a word counter at the right of my blog! So you can keep track of my novel journey. :)
